Chemicals involved:
-Nitrates
-Phosphates
-Oxygen

Algal blooms occur when nutrients; nitrates, and phosphates from cars, factories, and crops makes its way to the bodies of water, this is also known as Eutrophication. Most of these nutrients result from soap, cow maneuvers, and cars. Algae grow on the surface of the water as a cloudy shade of green or brown due to the escaping of oxygen. It then dies and decomposes and decomposers “eat” it all up, the oxygen levels in the water then goes drops. Lack of oxygen means the fish and aquatic life will die.
